The soft glow of the moon painted the bedroom in shades of silver, illuminating the curves of Alba’s resting form. She was a vision of beauty, even in slumber, her dirty blonde hair spilling across the pillow. Suddenly, a sound shattered the quiet – a creak from the living room, a muffled thump.
