Rey is on the phone when she receives a message from her lover, James. They’re going on a trip to the seaside. Rey is delighted, but also a bit puzzled because James urged her to pack her bags immediately. They’ll leave as soon as he gets home. Rey is a little worried, as she knows that her boyfriend has had a troubled history with the law and has been involved with a criminal gang. Her suspicions, unfortunately, are well-founded.
Someone rings the doorbell, but it isn’t James. It’s a masked thug, Tony, who grabs her without ceremony and covers her mouth with a handgag. He’s here for the money-the money that James stole with his accomplices and kept after they were arrested. Now, they’re out of jail, and they’ve tracked down his girlfriend to use her as collateral to get the money back.
As the criminal explains these things to the terrified girl, he begins to bind her with duct tape, wrapping it around her hands, elbows, body, and legs until she’s tightly trussed up. He also silences her by stuffing a sponge in her mouth and sealing her lips shut. He then carries her into the kitchen and leaves her alone for a while…
