As each rubber band is applied, Rachel already knows she won’t be breaking free. With one or two, she might have had a chance, but with dozens layered around her elbows and legs, there’s no hope. Still, she has to try. Grunting and moaning into her gag, she thrashes in place, muscles straining with every desperate tug. The bands flex but never give, pulling her limbs back position again and again. Even with all her strength, she can’t manage to dislodge a single one. Sweat beads on her skin, breath growing ragged, and within minutes she’s left out of energy.
